Julie
Practice Manager | Certified Veterinary Technician
Julie started working at the Shorewood Animal Hospital in 1991 as a veterinary assistant. Eventually she completed courses in the veterinary technician program at Cedar Valley College and obtained her CVT license. She is the clinic's practice manager and oversees all of the staff and is responsible for much of the general functioning of the business. She is a self-proclaimed "crazy cat lady" and enjoys interacting with every cat she sees, even the challenging ones! She shares her Caledonia home with three nutty cats, a food stealing pastel calico named Sibby, a lazy torbie named Olive and a wild long haired brown tabby named Maple. She is also the proud owner of a flock of chickens!


Sherry
Office Manager
Sherry started working at the Shorewood Animal Hospital in 1994 as a receptionist. She has since become our office manager and oversees our kennel assistants and our other receptionists. She also deals with much of the day-to-day functioning of the hospital. In addition, she volunteers with the Wisconsin Doberman Rescue.


Trish
Receptionist
Trish has been with the Shorewood Animal Hospital since 1997. She is one of our receptionists and is affectionately known as "the treat lady" by many of our canine patients. She has a goofy Golden Retriever named Buddy and an adorable cat, Mable.



Amanda
Lead Certified Veterinary Technician, VTS - Nutrition
Amanda joined the Shorewood Animal Hospital in 2017 as a Certified Veterinary Technician. In 2021 Amanda obtained her Veterinary Technician Specialty in Nutrition. She works closely with our doctors on managing cases with specific nutritional needs. Previously she has worked at a feline only clinic and has a strong interest in striving to handle cats as "stress-free" as possible. She shares her home with 3 wonderful cats of her own - Baby, Wily, and Sterling. She can often be found carrying around tiny "bottle baby" kittens that she is fostering!




Shayna
Certified Veterinary Technician
Shayna has been with the Shorewood Animal Hospital since 2004. She received her associate's degree in Veterinary Technology in 2004 from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in Colorado & received her veterinary technician license shortly after. Shayna has always had an interest in shelter work and continues to work at the Wisconsin Humane Society part-time. She enjoys spending time with her wrinkly sharpei, Bruce ,and her colorful collection of rescued birds.

Jenn
Certified Veterinary Technician
Jenn received her AAS for veterinary technology from Madison College in 2014, and has been working at Shorewood Animal Hospital as a certified veterinary technician ever since. She has two very special dogs; Maddie, who loves to swim and play fetch, and Karo, who is only really happy when barking at squirrels or laying on one of her humans. Jenn spends her free time biking, playing board games, and playing with her daughters.

Michelle
Certified Veterinary Technician
Michelle has been a veterinary assistant with the Shorewood Animal Hospital since 2009. She has taken classes at Cedar Valley College and obtained her Certified Veterinary Technician license in 2019. Michelle takes a special interest in animal behavior, and she has participated in several behavior seminars and does substantial independent studying. She has one rescued dog, a goofy Coonhound mix named Jasper, and two adopted kitties from Urban Cat Coalition named Neil Young and Crazy Horse.

Brittney
Lead Veterinary Assistant
Brittney began working for the Shorewood Animal Hospital in 2022 as a veterinary assistant. Brittney graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor's in Animal Science, and minor in Equine Science. She is taking classes toward becoming a certified veterinary technician. She has a goofy hound dog named Otter.




Chris
Lead Veterinary Assistant
Chris started working for the Shorewood Animal Hospital in 2016 as a kennel assistant. He was quickly promoted to the position of veterinary assistant. He is currently working on getting his certification to become a veterinary technician. He has an orange and white tabby cat named Samwise and a food-obsessed classic brown tabby cat named Jessie.

Emily
Lead Veterinary Assistant
Emily began working for the Shorewood Animal Hospital in 2018 as a veterinary assistant/receptionist. She is currently working on her certification to become a veterinary technician. She shares her home with two adorable cats, Mac and Mingo.



Caitlin
Lead Veterinary Assistant
Caitlin began working for the Shorewood Animal Hospital in 2021 as a veterinary assistant. She is currently working on her certification to become a veterinary technician. She has two orange cats named Benedict and Toast.




Essie
Receptionist
Essie began working for the Shorewood Animal Hospital in 2020 as a veterinary assistant/receptionist. Essie shares her home with a lab mix named Snow, two cats named Alex and Cinco, two bunnies named Bailey and Poppy, tarantulas named Esmeralda and Gigi, and a crested gecko named Animesh.



Bridgette
Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
Bridgette began working for the Shorewood Animal Hospital in 2020 as a veterinary assistant/receptionist. At home she has two playful kittens named Oliver and Leo and another handsome cat named Milo.

Kasey
Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
Kasey began working for the Shorewood Animal Hospital in 2020 as a veterinary assistant/receptionist. She graduated from UW-Milwaukee in 2017 with a degree in Information Studies and Technology, and a minor in English. She has one cat, Tommy, who she rescued in August 2021.

Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
Ku began working for the Shorewood Animal Hospital in 2021 as a veterinary assistant/receptionist. She graduated from UW Milwaukee in 2019 and is pursuing career as a veterinary technician. She has two cats named Kiro and Okami.

Kaya began working for the Shorewood Animal Hospital in 2020 as a receptionist.

Kat began working for the Shorewood Animal Hospital in 2021 as a veterinary assistant/receptionist. At home she has a rambunctious pup named Crab, and she likes to spend most of her time hiking in the woods.
