Dr. David S. Rosene is the owner and founder of the
Shorewood Animal Hospital. He is a 1984 graduate of the
Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Rosene
also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and
Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis and a
Master of Philosophy degree in Anthropology
(Primate Behavior) from Yale University. His special areas
of interest include internal medicine, surgery and animal behavior. Dr. Rosene also enjoys speaking to school
groups and participating in special interest and career
days at area schools.
Dr. Rosene is married with two children. His wife, Julie Sattler
Rosene, is currently the Special Events Coordinator for the
Diederich College of Communication at Marquette University
as well as a Lecturer for the college. Julie is also a co-founder
of the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum. Dr. Rosene’s older
daughter, Emily, graduated in 2010 from Tufts Medical School
and will be starting a Master of Public Health at Harvard
University this fall. His younger daughter, Erin, recently
received her Master of Arts in Hispanic Language and
Literatures in the Department of Romance Studies at Boston
University. She will be pursuing a Master of Arts in teaching
at Boston University School of Education beginning in
September 2011. While away from the office, Dr. Rosene
enjoys spending time with his family, going to the movies,
water skiing and playing soccer. He is also very busy raising
his two new Golden Retriever puppies, Willow and Teddy!
